Dr. Pearl Shangkuan made her conducting debut at Carnegie Hall in 2014; since then, she has conducted concerts and seminars across six continents and is in high demand as a conductor, lecturer, and clinician. She is the Director of Choral Activities and an esteemed music professor at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as well as the choir director of the Grammy-nominated Grand Rapids Symphony. In addition to serving in prominent positions on the boards of Chorus America, the American Choral Directors Association, and editor at Hinshaw Music, Dr. Shangkuan is actively involved in national choral leadership and a source of inspiration for many aspiring choral music artists.
