Keiki O Ka ‘Āina (Child Of The Land) – SATB – Digital

Nowadays more and more choral directors are looking to expand their horizons and to add to their repertoire pieces from non-Western cultures, including Hawaiian music, with lyrics in both English and Hawaiian. The solo lyrics are written from the point of view of someone born and raised in Hawai’i, but are more universal in nature than they might first appear. The music evokes the flowing ocean waves, majestic lava cliffs and fragrant trade winds.
