Malcolm Archer’s illustrious career in church music includes prestigious roles as Organist and Director of Music at Bristol, Wells, and St Paul’s Cathedrals, along with serving as Director of Chapel Music at Winchester College for eleven years. He has also led the choir for the Jean Langlais Festival in France. As a conductor and composer, Malcolm Archer has worked globally in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and Europe, with notable performances like conducting John Rutter’s Requiem for the composer’s 70th birthday and the 20th anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Archer’s work has been highly praised in BBC Radio 3 broadcasts and commercial recordings. His Christmas album with St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir was named editor’s choice by The Daily Telegraph. He has recorded with Warner Classics, Hyperion, and Convivium, and his album of Herbert Howells choral music with Wells Cathedral Choir received widespread acclaim. Frequently featured on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, his recordings include collaborations with celebrated artists like Dame Emma Kirkby and James Bowman. As an organist and harpsichordist, Archer has performed internationally, including significant concerts with the London Symphony Orchestra.
